Ulipur thana police in the district recovered a slaughtered body of an unidentified woman from Patranabish village under Buraburi union of Ulipur upazila in the morning on Wednesday evening.
A team of police led by Inspector (investigation) Saiful Islam rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination. Police suspected that she might have been killed Wednesday in the period of rain fall.
Officer-in-charge of Ulipur Police station SK Abdullah Al Sayed told that the slaughtered body of the unidentified woman was recovered near the pond of one Abdul Aziz.
A case was filed against it. It is mentioned here that Kurigram Sadar thana police recovered a dead body of an unidentified man aged 30 years from road side near a spinning mill on Kurigram-Rangpur highway under Kurigram Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.
