A man’s hacked body was recovered from a brick kiln in Rajapur village under the Fatullah Model Police Station of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 35, son of Alam Mia of Golapnagar village of the area.
Fazlul Haque, sub-inspector of Fatullah Model Police Station said on information police recovered the body from the premises of the ‘Ashik’ Brick Kiln around 12:00pm on Friday.
The body bore several injury marks inflicted by a sharp instrument, and evidence of banned substances being consumed were recovered from the spot, the SI added. Jasim Uddin, younger brother of the victim, claimed that Alamgir Hossain, said to work as a police source, and one Shafi called Delwar from his home on Thursday.
