Miscreants killed a leader of the Sramik League on Wednesday at his house of Dhopachori Union under Chandanais Upazila of Chattogram.
Nurul Islam Khoka, 35, was killed in Chingraghata area of the upazila. Local people informed newsmen that Aminul Islam’s son Khoka returned home three days ago after performing Umrah.
Slain Khoka was a leader of Chandanais Sramik League. Meanwhile, ASP Mofiz Uddin of Anwara Circle under the Chattogram Police told media people that terrorists first shot Khoka and later they fled away hacking the victim indiscriminately. Seriously injured Khoka died when he was being taken to the hospital.
Local people informed that Khoka has been facing feud with another group of people of the area for a long time in connection with landed property.
