Some unidentified miscreants have hacked a Swechhchasebok League (SL) activist to death on Monday night at Gulshanpara area in Jhenidah town.
The victim was identified as Torikul Islam, 22 son of Mozo Mondol of Beparipara village of the district town.
Officer- in- charge (OC) Biplob Kumar Nath of Sadar police station said, on Monday night at around 9-30 pm Torikul was returning home from Sadar upazila town. When he reached at Gulshanpara area some unidentified miscreants have hacked him to injury. Instantly, the locals rushed him to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital where the on duty doctor declared him dead at around 10-00 pm.
