Defending champions Sheikh Russel KC split points with ordinary Feni Soccer Club as their 3rd leg match of the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League ended in a goalless draw at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
After the day’s debacle, Sheikh Russel KC remained at the 6th slot in the league table securing 29 points from 22 matches while Feni Soccer were in the 9th place in the 10-team league with 14 points from 22 encounters.
Soccer Club came close to score in the 6th minute, but a left flank shot of their midfielder Ali Hasan went wide.
Sheikh Russel KC forward Mithun also squandered a chance to take lead in the 65th minute as he shot straight went to Feni Soccer goalie Mohammad Nehal.
Soccer Club spoiled a golden opportunity in the 86th minute when their Gambian forward Kabba Jobe failed to head a ball to open net, off a cross of Mohammad Sumon from the left.
