Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Ltd of Bangladesh will take on Erchim Football Club of Mongolia in the final round opener of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President’s Cup on September 20 at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
In the opening day’s other match, Sri Lanka Air Force SC will meet Manang Marshyangdi Club at 4:00 pm at the same venue.
In all, six teams split in two groups will compete in the final round in the continental soccer meet. Each team will play two matches.
Sk Russel KC of Bangladesh, Erchim FC of Mongolia and Rimyongsu Club of Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea were pitted in Group-B while Group-A comprises of Sri Lanka Air Force Sporting Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club of Nepal and FC HTTU of Turkmenistan.
In the remaining final round matches, Erchim FC will face Rimyongsu Club in the first match at 1:00 pm while in the 2nd match FC HTTU take Marshyangdi Club at 4:00pm on September 22 (Monday).
Sk Russel KC will play their 2nd match against Rimyongsu Club on September 24 (Wednesday) at 1:00pm while Sri Lanka Air Force SC face FC HTTU at 4:00 pm.
Two group champions will play the AFC final on September 26 (Friday) at 4:00pm. All matches will take place at Sugathadasa Stadium.
