Bangladesh champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club suffered the 3rd consecutive defeat in a Group E match of the AFC Cup Football losing to Malaysian champions Selangor FA by 3-4 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
Sheikh Jamal made a frustrating start in the AFC Cup after conceding 0-4 defeat against Tampines Rovers of Singapore in their away match and they conceded 0-2 goals defeat against Ceres La Salle FC of Philippines in their home match in Dhaka. In the day’s match, Gambian midfielder Landing Darboe put Sheikh Jamal ahead in the 19th minute by a powerful right-footer from 30 yards (1-0)
Patrick Ronaldinho restored the parity for Selangor FA in the 38th minute by a header, utilizing a cross of Mauro Olivi from the right flank (1-1)
