Holders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club made a flying start in the Federation Cup Football Tournament outplaying outsider Feni Soccer Club by 4-1 goals in the 2nd match of the opening day at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Monday.
National captain Mamunul Islam opened the floodgate for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 35th minute by a fierce left footer from the top of the box as Haitian forward Wedson paved the way for him (1-0)
Nigerian forward Emeka Darlington doubled the margin for Sheikh Jamal in the added time of the first half by placing the ball in the net by his 2nd attempt after his header was initially tacked by Feni Soccer custodian (2-0)
Feni Soccer tried hard to fight back and Sohel Miah was baled to reduce margin by a placing shot in the 62nd minute (2-1).
Forward Shakhawat Hossian Rony scored the 3rd goal for Sheikh Jamal in the 73rd minute (3-1)
Landing Darboe sealed the fate of the match in the 82nd minute scoring one more goal for Sheikh Jamal DC (4-1).
