Md. Sanaullah Shahid and Fakir Akhtaruzzaman elected have unanimously been elected as Chairman and Vice-chairman of Executive Committee (EC) of Shahajalal Islami Bank Ltd (SJIBL). in its 235th Meeting of the Board of directors held recently in the city, according to a press release.
The newly elected Chairman of EC of SJIBL Md. Sanaullah Shahid was born in a noble Muslim family in Dhaka city in 1963. Shahid engaged in Electronics Business after completion of his Hon’s degree in Commerce. He is a Sponsor Shareholder and Director of Shahajalal Islami Bank Limited. Shahid is the Chairman of Electra international Ltd., a sole Distributor of Samsung Brand Electronics Goods. He is also a Sponsor Shareholder of Shahajalal Islami Bank Securities Limited. He always adheres to many Social Development Organizations like School and Orphanage- Madrasha.
The newly elected Vice-Chairman of Executive Committee of the bank Fakir Akhtaruzzaman was born in the year 1956 in a respectable Muslim family and started business after completion of his education. He has a long and successful business experience for more than three decades and established himself as an icon of Knit garments Industries. Akhtar is the Managing Director of Fakir Knitwears Ltd. which is a 100 percent export oriented Knit Composite Factory.
He received “National Export Trophy” twice for his achievement in the field of Knit Garments Industries and also declared him as CIP (twice) by Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. In addition to his success in trade and business, Akhtar is immensely reputed for his contribution in field of education.
He is the President of Shaheb Ali High School & Begum Anowara College and Secretary of Madrasha Darul Hadith at Araihazar Upozilla in Narayanganj District. Akhtar has also affiliated with different trade bodies and social organizations. Presently, he is the Director of Central Hospital Ltd, Dhaka & member of BGMEA, BKMEA and Chamber of Commerce.
