Six players shared lead in the points table of the 1st Golden Chess Club International Rating Chess Tournament (Below 2200) with maximum 3 points after the 3rd round games now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room in the city.
They are Masum Hossain, Abdullah Al-Saif, Ikramul Hossain Siam, Md. Sharif Hossain, Mohammad Sagar, Belal Hossain and M Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan.
The 3rd round games were held on Friday, Masum beat Shirin, Saif beat Faisal, Saim beat Nazre, Sharif beat Anis, Belal beat Sherajul, Sagar beat Mamun, Nasim beat Amir, Fahad split points with Delwar, Hanif points with Ibrahim and Shahid drew with Ripon. Earlier, in the 2nd round games held on the same day, Mamun beat Sohel, Delwar beat Salim, Masum beat Jaber, Nasim beat Shafiq, Saif beat Rezaul, Siam beat Mahin, Hanif beat Parvez and Sheraj beat Sarwar.
