Chattogram Bureau :
Department of Environment, Chattogram chapter fined two organisations of Nasirabad and EPZ area in the port city with Tk 6.78 lakh today for alleged pollutions in the areas. Director of DOE, Chattogram Mohanagar Azadur Rahman Mallick pronounced this penalty after hearing at DOE office.
The convicted organisations are Islam Steel mills limited of Nasirabad industrial area and Chattogram Central Wastage treatment Plant of EPZ with Tk.4.86 lakh and Tk 1.92 lakh respectively.
Asstt. Director of DOE, Mohanagar chapter Ms.Sangupta Das confirmed the news of penalty to media persons instantly.
