Minister for Shipping Md. Shahjahan told that more six oceangoing vessels will be deployed in the fleet of Bangladesh Shipping corporation beyond the present undergoing process of procurement of more ships for BSC by concerned ministry. He disclosed at Port auditorium yesterday afternoon in the 41st annual general meeting of BSC as Chief Guest.
He said govt is relentlessly working to build up skilled manpower in maritime sector .
BSC and Maritime Institute , Chattogram is providing trainings to male and female cadets . Port Ministry Secretary Abdus Samad also spoke on the occasion.
He said govt proposed to procure about25 vessels very shortly and ten vessels will be deployed in the BSC fleet by next two years.
