Six more killed in road crashes

At least six more persons were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Saturday.
In Naogaon, at least two members of a family were killed when an auto-rickshaw and cattle-ladden vehicle collided at Tajpur in Sapahar upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Mamtaz Begum, 50, wife of one Hazeruddin from Vagparul village, and Monwara Begum, 45, wife of one Anwarul Islam, who is the younger brother of Hazeruddin.
Local sources said that the duo fell from the auto-rickshaw and died instantly.
The crash occurred around 2:00pm on the Sapahar-Porsha Road.
Shamsul Alam Shah, Office-in-Charge (OC) of Sapahar Police Station told the media that police recovered the bodies and handed over to family members.
In Narayanganj, an unidentified person was killed when a truck rammed him in Fatullah of Narayanganj.
The incident took place in front of the Fatullah IGM Petroleum Corporation around 4pm on Saturday.
Officer-in-Charge of Fatulla Model Police Station Shah Mohammad Manzur told the media that police were sent to the spot after getting the news.
In Mymensingh, a farmer named Ramij Uddin Sarker (30) was killed in a road accident when a truck hit him in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.
The accident took place in the Ayna khet area of Katal union of the district.
Rafiz was the son of Abdul Aziz.
Trishal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Azizur Rahman confirmed the news to media.
In Tangail, a child named Mim (7) was killed in Tangail when an autorickshaw struck him at Modhupur in Tangail district. The accident occured just in front of Shatibari Government Primary School in the morning.
Mim was the daughter of Hasmat of Shatibari village. She was the first grade student of Shatibari Government Primary School. The headmaster of the school Rabeya Sultana told the news media.
In Habiganj, a tractor worker was killed and driver critically injured when a bus collided with the tractor in upazila of Habiganj on Saturday.
Deceased Sajal Sarker, 22 was the son of Kotia Sarker, a inhabitant of Kandigaon village.
Witnesses said a bus of Hanif Paribahan collided head-on with a tractor on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, leaving the worker dead on the spot and its driver injured.
Bahubal Police Station OC Mashuk Miah confirmed the accident news.
