Six matches of the MARCEL LED Television Inter-divisional Women’s Kabaddi Competition were decided on the opening day (Sunday) at the Kabaddi Stadium in the city.
On the day’s matches, Dhaka district defeated Faridpur district by 25-19 points with two creditable ‘lona’, Narail district defeated Jhenaidah district by 35-10 points with three ‘lona’, Jamalpur district outplayed Panchagarh district by 38-18 points with two ‘lona’, Comilla district beat Barisal district by 26-24 points with one ‘lona’, Jamalpur district outplayed Comilla district by 35-17 points with two ‘lona’ Dhaka district defeated Narail district by 31-15 points with two ‘lona’.
Earlier, Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation president and IGP Hasan Mahmud Khandakar formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
