In separate incidents, six people were killed in lightning strikes in Lalmonirhat, Satkhira, Joypurhat, Bagerhat and Rajshahi districts on Monday.
In Lalmonirhat, lightning killed two people-Malek, 43, at Lohakuchi
village in Kaliganj upazila, and Rabeya, 37, in Panchagram village of Sadar upazila – in the morning.
Locals said, the thunderbolt struck Malek while working in his field while Rabeya while calling the cattle home.
In Satkhira, lightning struck a college student – Mokhlesur Rahman, 27 – at Langaldaria village in Ashashuni upazila at noon, leaving him dead on the spot.
