Six JMB activists confess guilt

Six members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), arrested on October 17 from Tejgaon area in the city, made confessional statements on Sunday.
Magistrate Kazi Kamrul Islam of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka recorded the confessional statement of Md Kashem alias Kawsar alias Kashu, 20, Under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) while Magistrate Sottobrato Sikdar recorded the
statement of Nazmul Hasan Nayan alias Noresh, 23.
Meanwhile, Md Rashed alias Kakolir Baba, 27, confessed to the court of Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan and Md Sentu Hawladar alias Jahid, 26, confessed to Magistrate Sharfuzzaman Ansari. Besides, Metropolitan Magistrate Emdadul Haque recorded the confessional statement of Md Abu Bakar Siddique alias Shuvra alias Akash, 20 and Magistrate Maruf Hasan recorded the confessional statement of Md Abdul Bashed, 22.
After recording their confessional statement they were sent to the jail. Another JMB militant Md Jewel Sarker alias Sohrab alias Sarker, 32 did not make any confession on the occasion. Earlier on October 17, members of the CTTC unit arrested the seven suspected JMB men from Tejgaon area.
