Court Correspondent :A court of Dhaka yesterday (Tuesday) placed six more BNP leaders, including Joint Secretary General Md Shahjahan, on a fresh remand for two days in a case filed with Bhatara Police Station of the city for vandalism and arson.Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Alamgir Kabir Raj granted the remand after hearing on the plea of Bhatara Police Station SI Shah Muhammad Saju Mia for a seven-day remand to interrogate the BNP leaders.The other five accused leaders are BNP’s Assistant Office Secretary Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Assistant Information and Research Secretary Habibur Rahman Habib, central committee members Belal Ahmed and Monirul Haque. The remaining leader is Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar) Presidium member Ahsan Habib Linkon. Earlier, on January 28, a Dhaka court put the leaders on a two-day remand each in a case filed by police on the charge of vandalism and arson.
