Dhaka, Sept 22 (UNB) – Six Bangladesh nationals, including two
siblings, were killed while another was injured in a road accident
near Qatif, a municipality in Saudi Arabia, on Thursday morning.
The victims are Shahidul and his brother Babul, son of Abdul Hakim
hailing from Ujirpur, Barisal; Rafiqul Islam, son of Shahidul
Hawladar, Patuakhali, Sirajul Islam, son of Abdul Hakim, Rana
Sahabuddin, Bhola and Sharif, son of Abu Bakar.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Golam Moshi told UNB over phone
that six people are reported dead but awaiting final confirmation.
He said another Bangladesh national – Saiful – was injured in the
accident. He was admitted to a local hospital.
The accident took place when a car carrying the workers collided with
another one at Qatif town, 350 kilometres off capital Riyadh.
Officials from the Bangladesh Mission moved to the spot to have
further details, the envoy said.
