During childhood Sithi Saha got National Award in Tagore song for four times. So, most of the music lovers believes Sithi is a Tagore artiste. But Sithi said she feels comfortable to render all types of songs. It is fact that if she gets scope Sithi prefers to render Tagore songs. She has also several albums based on modern songs. This time she is coming with an album based on Tagore songs.
Sithi informed that there will be eight songs in the album. Kolkata’s Amit Chatterjee arranged its music. Sithi has already finished recording of eight songs. Amit Chatterjee came to Dhaka and Sithi completed recording of the songs of her upcoming album.
While talking in this regard Sithi told this correspondent, “To keep original songs of Tagore songs, I have prepared my album. I want to reach Tagore songs among the younger listeners. I believe everybody will like these songs. I am very much optimistic about this album.”
During childhood Sithi received training from Kushtia’s famous Tagore artiste Ashok Saha for several years. Later, she also received training from late Waheedul Haq. But she gives all credits to her mentor Ashok Saha. She said, “Kaku gave me training like my father. I have learned many things from him.”
Sithi also informed that within very soon her second solo album based on Tagore songs will be released under the banner of any audio production house.
Sithi’s first solo Tagore songs based album was Kichhu Bolbo Boley.
