Sister files GD citing death threats over phone

Nusrat Jahan, sister of college student Mosarrat Jahan Munia whose handing body found in a flat in Dhaka’s Gulshan area on 26 April, has filed general diary yesterday with Cumilla Kotwali police station, citing death threats over phone.
Farooq Ahmed, police superintendent of Cumilla, confirmed the matter to media. In the statement, Nusrat wrote that she got calls from four different phone numbers. They asked her to withdraw the case, the one she filed against Bashundhara Group’s Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir accusing him of “abetment of suicide” of her sister Munia. Otherwise, they threatened her to put her family in trouble or will murder and hide their bodies.
