Rabindra Sangeet singers enthralled the audience by rendering Tagore songs in the Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at Segun Bagicha, Dhaka on Wednesday.
Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Sangsad, (BRSSS) a platform of Tagore artistes, organised the event.
The programme featured solo and chorus songs of Rabindranath on love, nature, devotion and others.
The programme commenced with the presentation of the national anthem; ‘Amar Sonar Bangla’ by the artistes of BRSSS.
Dr. Farhad Hossain, President of the organization delivered the welcome speech at the audience.
Some distinguished guests including Khandakar Mahbub Hossain, eminent
lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court, and Saju Hosein, Chairperson of The New Nation were present at the programme.
Dr. Farhad Hossain, Mahbubur Rahman Manju, Bornali Biswas, Nusrat Binte Nur, Swapon Dutta, Hasi Biswas, Rokeya Hasina, Purabi Biswas, Mezbaul Azam Manju, Arifur Rahman Timun, Md Sadek , Rita Majumder, Sarwar Hossain Babu, Milon Dev, Badrunnesa Dalia and others rendered songs at the programme.
