National Film Award winner singer Priyanka Gope is popular to the music-lovers for her melodious voice. She obtained PhD degree on ‘Variation and Aestheticism of North Indian Classical Music.’ The degree was conferred to her at the University of Dhaka’s Academic Council meeting held on July 28 and Syndicate meeting on July 30 respectively. Priyanka is very much excited to achieve her success. Besdies rendering song, she is also working as Assistant Professor of Department of Music at University of Dhaka now.
Priyanka shared her feelings by this way, “I am grateful to my mother Bhanu Rani Gope, father Basudeb Gope, husband Subir Mitra, daughter Rajonti, supervisor of my PhD thesis Dr Kuheli Islam and joint supervisor Prof Dr Begum Akhter Kamal. I am also grateful to them who co-operated me in this regard. Everybody pray for me.”
Recently Priyanka wrote lyrics of a song titled Majhe Majhe Mone Hoi Brishtir Jonnoi Banchi. Tushar has composed its tune and music. But when it will be released yet not confirmed. Priyanka also said, “Earlier I wrote lyrics of several songs and also gave voice for these. If I want then I will release these songs.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka lent her voice in a play-back song with Yousuf Ahmed Khan in a movie titled Bidesh. She got the National Film Award for film Anil Bagchir Ekdin.
