Xinhua, Singapore :
Chinese visitors can now pay through Alipay at over 110 locations at Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), RWS said in a statement on Monday.
RWS said it has established a strategic collaboration with Ant Financial Services Group where Alipay, China’s largest mobile payment provider, is appointed its preferred partner for China. Alipay is also named the official partner of S.E.A. Aquarium and Resorts World Theatre, both are the most-visited scenic spots in Singapore.
Currently, Chinese travellers can already make online bookings for hotel packages and attraction tickets on the resort’s website, and select Alipay for online payment, before leaving their country.
With this new collaboration, Alipay online payment terminals are now made available at more than 110 locations around Resorts World Sentosa and more services at the resort will progressively become Alipay-enabled across its hotels, dining, retail and entertainment.
RWS and Alipay will also roll out joint travel packages and promotions, as part of the partnership, exclusively for Alipay users.
“This collaboration seeks to bring about greater convenience and appeal to Chinese visitors, and position Alipay as everyone’s preferred global lifestyle mobile app,” the resort said.
