Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said Singapore has shown interest to invest in establishing liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and power plant in Bangladesh.
Singaporean Trade Minister Lim Hng Kiang expressed his country’s keenness during a meeting with the visiting Bangladeshi Commerce Minister, said an official release here Tuesday.
“Singaporean Trade Minister would visit Bangladesh shortly to see the possible investment areas,” he added.
Tofail said Singapore wanted to work quickly in line with the singed MoU, as investment friendly atmosphere and facilities offered by the government in Bangladesh has attracted them.
