In observance of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Bangladesh Institute of Threatre Arts, two days programs launched in the port city.
On first day of the celebrations, a newly produced drama serial titled JAAL was staged at Shilpakala Academy Mancha in the city on first day’s programme .
The newly produced drama which depicting the life style of Bangladeshi people, upgrade of social status and social activities of performing arts and involvement with practices of democracy norms . Noted dramatish of India Usha Ganguly directed in producing the drama serial.
The JAAL drama staged with the lifestyle of the fishermen of South Sundarban which depicted the causes of leg behind of the fishermen of that areas.
This drama also a reflections of the matter of women trafficking and development of the empowerment of the fishermen breaking the jaal (net) of male controlled governance.
About 17 artists performed sequences in this drama. Suvra Bishwas became best performer in the drama .
