Religious Minister Principal Motiur Rahman said the government has achieved significant development in education sector through implementing different educational programmes.
The government is committed to establish illiteracy free knowledge based society as well as prosperous country so that everybody must have education especially in advanced and technical education in this regards, he said.
The minister said this yesterday while inaugurating the textbook distribution festival in Mymensingh.
at Bir Muktijoddah Principal Motiur Rahman Academy School and College .
Motiur Rahman, also founder of this academy, urged the teachers to work
sincerely and dedicate themselves to make the talent and worthy citizens of
the country.
District Primary Education Officer Shafiqul Alam told BSS that over 43
lakh textbooks have been distributed among the 8,42,256 students of 4,718
schools in primary level of all 13 upazilas.
On the other hand, over 80 lakh textbooks have been distributed among 958
secondary schools, vocational and Dakhil madrasa of the district.
