Bangladeshi famed golfer Siddikur Rahman went down to join the 65th position after the 3rd round of the Maybank Malaysian Open Golf at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club on Saturday.
Siddikur, who shared the 34th position after the 2nd round on Friday, today fell 28 steps behind to share the 65th position along with three other golfers, according to the European Tour website.
He made even par in the frontline scoring 36, but went down in the race in the backline making two double bogeys in the 12th and 17th holes with five over par.
Finally, Siddikur made a worse 77 with five-over par in the day’s the 3rd round to score overall total of 220 (73, 70, 77) with four-over par tarnishing his prospect in the meet with remaining 4th round match on Sunday.
Lee Westwood of England maintained domination in the Maybank Malaysian Open after the 3rd round match on Saturday.
The Englishman, seventh in last week’s Masters Tournament, started the day with four shots ahead of the chasing pack but swiftly saw hat advantage halved by Antonio Lascuna despite a birdie from 20 feet at the first.
The former World Number one missed a short par putt at the next, with the Philippines’ Lascuna matching Westwood’s gain at the first with a ten-foot birdie and holed a 25-footer at the third to get within two.
But Westwood found himself five in front when he birdied the long fifth, where 43-year-old Lascuna hit his drive left into trees, then hit his fourth from the fairway into water and ran up a triple bogey eight.
