Bangladesh’s golfer Siddikur Rahman shared the 37th slot moving up 10 steps from the joint 46th place in the US$ 1.37 million Panasonic Open Japan carding two-under-par 69 in the 3rd round held at Chiba Country Club, Umesato Course on Saturday.
The two-time Asian Tour winner Sidikkur aggregated two-under-par 211, stayed eight shots behind the leader Junggon Hwang of Korea who leapfrogged 17th steps from joint 11th place carding six-under-par 65 in the 3rd round.
J Hwang aggregated 10-under-par 203 to take the leadership while Jason Knutzon of USA slipped 18th steps from the leading place to share 15th slots as he traded four-over-par 75 in the 3rd round. Jason Knutzon aggregated five-under-par 208.
Sidikkur, the only Bangladesh’s golfer in the meet, shared the 37th place with eight other golfers. He birdied thrice in the 3rd round to put 7th, 9th and 10th holes, but downed with a dismal bogey in the 15th hole.
Earlier on Friday, Siddikur birdied three and traded two bogies in the 2nd round to aggregate even-par 142, starting the tournament campaign with one-over-par 72 on Thursday where he carded one birdie and two bogies.
Mikumu Horikawa of Japan carded brilliant eight-under-par 63 in the 3rd round to move up to the 2nd slot from joint 32nd. M Horikawa leapfrogged 41 steps in the 3rd round aggregating nine-under-par 204.
