Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Siddhartha Talukder comes from exploring a long 40 years in pursuit of art. Though he participated in more than 100 group exhibitions, both national and international level, this exhibition titled Self-revelation is his first solo.
In the past few years, Prof Talukder worked with different colour media like oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media.
His artistic language is abstract and his subjects are mainly nature and human, sometimes non-objective; and convey both traditionalism and modernism.
Some of his paintings are painted over a long period of time and encapsulate many layers of musings and creative awareness. As Talukder puts it, ‘each diligent artist should leave a sign of their own style even under restriction,’ his paintings exude hard work, dedication and introspection.
