A police officer died in a motorbike accident at Pakundia upazila in Kishoreganj district on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Md Idris Ali, 65, a sub-inspector (SI) of Chunarughat (Habiganj) Police Station. Kishoreganj is his home-district.
Idris Ali left Chunarugat for his village home in Kishoreganj district riding his own motorbike on Wednesday noon on five-day leave, said Officer-in-Charge of Chunarugat Police Station.
He met the accident at about 4:00 pm after losing control of his motorbike on the road at Pakundia and
was killed on the spot. His body was taken to Kishoreganj Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared that Idris Ali died on the spot.
