A Sub-Inspector (SI) of Ramna Police Station fell sick after drinking excessive wine early Tuesday.
The policeman has been identified as Nazmul Haque. He was admitted to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Quoting the relatives and Ramna police, DMCH Police Outpost In-Charge and SI Mozammel Haque said that Nazmul went to his residence after performing his duty on Monday night. He became sick after drinking too much liquor. He was brought to the DMCH in critical condition around 9:00am.
He said that, the SI might have been victimized over previous family dispute as part of the conspiracy.
The DMCH Dr. Rabiul Islam said that Nazmu’s stomach has been washed but he was not out of danger.
