A sub-inspector of Tangail police station accused for early marriage and torturing second wife in Barisal.
The case was lodged with special tribunal for preventing torture against women and children Barisal.
Mahmuda Begum of Khontakhali village of Barisal Port police station and mother of teen aged Marufa Begum, second wife of Tangail police station Sub Inspector Abdul Wares, as complainant lodged the case.
SI Wares, his first wife Asma Begum and sister Lovely Begum were accused in the case.
In case it was alleged that SI Wares when working at Barisal Bandar police station forcibly married Marufa Begum, 13, daughter of Anisur Rahman of Khontakhali village by creating pressure on her family members in 2012.
Then SI Wares transferred to Kotwali police station in 2013 and from there to Tangail police station in 2014.
