Bangladesh archer Shymoli Roy clinched bronze medal in the Women’s Singles Recurve Division of Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament, Stage-2, beating Nicole Marie of the Philippines by 6-4 sets in Bangkok on Friday.
In the Mixed Team event of Recurve Division, Ruman Sana and Shymoli Roy of Bangladesh advanced to the quarterfinal beating their Japanese rivals by 5-1 sets in the elimination round, but lost to Chinese Taipei 2-6 sets in the quarterfinal.
In the Mixed Team event of Compound Division, Bangladeshi pair Abul Kashem Mamun and Roxana Akhter lost to Malaysia by 141-156 score.
The elimination round of men’s and women’s teams events of both recurve and compound divisions will he held on Saturday.
