Producer-director Dinesh Vijan has got the fresh pair of Shraddha Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan for his next home production film, which is a rom-com. It’s going to be directed by cinematographer Laxman Utekar, who is known for English Vinglish, Dear Zindagi, Hindi Medium and 102 Not Out.
Dinesh Vijan was keen to have a fresh pairing for his rom-com and it seems he has finally found his pair in Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor.
A source close to the project revealed, “Dinesh had loved Kartik’s work in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and since then he wanted to work with him. When he got this script, he met Kartik and got him on board. He wanted to cast someone from the young lot opposite him in the film. He was already working with Shraddha in his home production film, Stree. When he finished Stree, he offered this film with Kartik to her. She heard the narration and was impressed by the script and her role. She has given her nod but she has yet to sign on the dotted lines.”
The untitled film is going on floors by end of the year. Dinesh is planning to make an official announcement soon.
A very few might be aware of the fact that Kartik Aaryan has always wanted to work with Shraddha Kapoor. In one of his interviews in 2015, he had said, “I think Shraddha has done really well for herself and has been part of great films this early in her career, which is a huge achievement. She has worked really hard on her acting, singing and dancing. I would definitely love working with her in a film. I think it would be a lot of fun”.
