The Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has not invited its immediate past President Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and general secretary Golam Rabbani in the reunion programme organised on the occasion of its 72nd founding anniversary.
While asked about it, BCL’s acting President Al Nahian Khan Joy told media on Thursday that they have not been invited as per the instructions from “party’s high command”,
It is mentionable that Awami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend the reunion as the chief guest, which is scheduled for Saturday (Jan 4) at Dhaka’s Suhrawardi Udyan.
Earlier, on Sept 14, Shovon and Rabbani were removed from BCL leadership for their alleged controversial activities like irregularities and corruption.
