A man has been murdered in broad daylight on a busy street in Chittagong. Police and witnesses said the murder happened around 12:30pm on Sunday. Assailants shot dead the man on the street opposite to the General Post Office in the port city, a few hundred metres from the Kotowali Police Station.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Md Ibrahim Manik, who lived at the city’s Sadarghat.
The assailants opened fire on Manik, when he was standing in the street and fled immediately, Inspector Nur Mohammad of the Kotowali police told bdnews24.com. He said a ‘personal feud’ might have been the motive, but could not provide any further details.
