Shortage of judges in Ctg court causes sufferings to people

The Chittagong judiciary is running with the shortage of judges hampering trial proceedings . Out of total 78 courts , 16 courts have no trial judges since long. As a result justice seekers are deparived of their legitimate rights. On the other hand , case congestion is increasing gradually.
According to District Judge court sources, 6th court of Additional District judge, 7th court of Joint district judge, 2nd judge court, 3rd court of senior Asstt. Judge, 3rd court additional judge court, asstt. Partiya judge court, Asstt judge court of Chandanaish , asstt. Judge of Banskhali, and Asstt. Judge of Fatikchari are running without trial judges since long. Meanwhile Addl. Chief judicial magistrate, 3rd court of judicial masgistrate, 5th court of judicial magistrate are also vacant without judges. Out of the metropolitan magistrate court , there is no trial masgistrate in Addl. Metropolitan Magistrate court.
 While contacted the President of the district bar association Adv. Mujibul Hoque said out of the 41 courts under Chittagong district judge, nine court running without trial judge, out of the chief judicial magistrate courts, no judges deputed in 3 courts, 2 courts of Metropolitan session judge out of 13 running lack of magistrates, and one court under CMM courts lying without magistrates, sources said.
General secretary o f CDLA Adv. Enamul Hoaque said Bar leader paid courtesy call on district judgeafter their election held recently and urged intervention of the district judge to depute the trial judges in the vacant courts under CMM court, Chief Judicial Magistrate courts, Mettropolitan session judge court, additional district judge courts, joint district judge courts etc, sources said.
