A7-day short course on “Port and Shipping Studies” has successfully concluded at Krishibid Institution. Institute of Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh Studies of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University,Bangladesh organized the programme.
Secretary of Ministry of Shipping, Md. Abdus Samad graced the occasion as chief guest and handed over the certificates to the course participants.
The Vice Chancellor of BSMRMU Rear Admiral M Khaled Iqbal was also present there. Treasurer, Registrar, Dean, faculty members of the University, Resource persons, invited guests and participants attended as well.
The chief guest expressed that the participants of this course will be able to play a significant role in the overall development of the country’s potential shipping sector and overall port management.
The Vice Chancellor of the University highlighted on the future potentials of BSMRMU in the field of maritime research with a view to achieve Blue-Economy goal in light of the Prime Minister’s “Vision-2041”. A total of 52 government and non-government officials have successfully completed the short course.
