National Film Award winning actress Shormy Mala is now engaged with acting in drama serials. She is now acting in BTV’s new serial Jindabahar directed by Mamunur Rashid. Story concept of this serial was given by former director generation of BTV SM Haroon-or-Rashid. Shormy Mala is playing the role
of Bilkis in the serial. According to Shormy, she has already taken part in shooting of the serial for few days. The serial yet not started to telecast on BTV. But its shooting is going on in full swing because it will be aired soon. Fazle Azim is giving direction of the serial. While talking about acting in the serial Shormy Mala said, “In the serial Jindabahar, I am acting against Ahmed Rubel Bhai who is my husband on the screen. At one stage, he married a professional dancer which creates complexities in our conjugal life. Story of the serial continues by this way. Jewel Bhai is making the serial cordially. I can say that though it is BTV’s serial but it is making under huge arrangements. The serial is being made sincerely. For this reason, I am very much excited and also delighted to work in this serial. I am very much optimistic about the serial.”
Shormy Mala also said that she has already finished shooting of Afsana Mimi directed BTV’s another serial Shayankal. Before starting acting, Shormy Mala completed six-month course in acting from Prachyanat. Azizur Rahman Mukul’s docu-drama Bokul Phul was Shormy-starrer her first drama. Golam Sohrab Dodul’s Satkahon was her acted first TV serial. She first acted in Goutam Ghosh directed movie Moner Manush. Later, she was also seen to act in Samia Zaman’s movie Akash Koto Dure, Shahneoaj Cacoly’s Nodijon and Gazi Rakayet’s Mrittika Maya. For acting in Mrittika Maya, Shormy Mala got the National Film Award. Her husband Rajib Salehin is also an actor. Shormy tied the nuptial knot with Rajib on October 23 in 2015. Today is Shormy Mala’s birthday. But she has no special plan to celebrate the day. She will pass the dayat home, the actress also said.
