A shopkeeper was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Minabazar under Teknaf upazila in the district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Abu Taher, 30, son of Mahamudul Alam, resident at the area.
Local sources said some miscreants numbering four to five persons swooped down on Abu Taher and started to stabbing him indiscriminately on Saturday night, leaving him seriously injured. Locals rushed him to Sadar Hospital immediately where he succumbed to his injures under treatment on Sunday early morning. In-Charge of Howaikang Police Outpost confirming the incident said they would take action in this regard after investigation.
