A shopkeeper has been arrested by the police for allegedly raping a three grade student (8) in the Rupantot Cinema Hall area of Shilasi village in Gafargaon municipality. As a result of the rape, the student is 6 months pregnant.
The arrested rapist was sent to jail through the Mymensingh court on Sunday afternoon. Arrestee was Md. Azim Uddin (52) is the son of the deceased Abdul Majeed alias Bucha of that area.
According to the complaint and police sources, 6 months ago the third grade student of Khairullah Government Primary School went to Azim Uddin Modi’s shop adjacent to the Rupantor hall to buy ice cream. At that time, Azim Uddin said to took ice cream from the fridge. After the student went to the fridge Azim Uddin pushed him to the back of the shop and tied his face and hands and raped him.
He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.He threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.Seeing the girl’s physical changes and signs of illness the student’s father Ruhul Amin came to know about the girl’s rape and filed a complaint with the police station. Based on the complaint the police arrested the rapist Azim Uddin on Saturday afternoon.
