Shooting of noted play director Alvi Ahmed’s first movie U-Turn began recently. Story, script and dialogue of the movie were also written by its director Alvi Ahmed.
Four celebrities – Moutushi Biswas, Irfan Sajjad, Shipon and Sonia Hossain are acting in different roles in the movie U-Turn.
Shooting of the movie, which is being produced under the banner of Versatile Media, is taking place in different spots in the capital.
Shipon has started his acting career in the big screen by Saikat Nasir’s directed a movie titled Desha – The Leader. He is going to debut his career in the big screen by this movie, which is scheduled to be released in December. U-Turn is his fourth movie.
While talking about the movie Shipon told this correspondent, “Shooting of the movie has begun few days ago. I am working under a good unit. I am enjoying a lot to work in this movie. I think the movie will be accepted to the viewers very positively.”
According to Moutushi Biswas, U-Turn is her second movie. Her first acted movie was Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Bachelor.
While sharing her feelings about the movie Moutushi said, “After many years I have got a nice role in a movie. For this reason, I am acting in Alvi’s first directed movie. I am grateful to its director.”
Irfan Sajjad has returned to acting after finishing shooting of Tania Ahmed’s directed a movie titled Good Morning London before Eid. After Eid-ul-Azha, he started acting in U-Turn. While talking about the movie he shared his feelings by this way, “I am trying to establish myself in the movie day-by-day. I want to remain busy in the film industry after getting everybody’s cooperation.”
Jannatul Ferdous Peya was earlier finlaised to acting in this movie in role of another heroine. Before two days of the starting of shooting of the movie director Alvi Ahmed refused to cast Peya because she didn’t fit for the role, Alvi claimed.
But Peya informed that she has withdrawn herself from the movie due to her personal reason.
Shahidullah Shovon is working as cinematographer in U-Turn. Though he had earlier worked in TV plays but for the first time he is working in this role in a movie.
Two national film award winning actors – Shahiduzzaman Selim and Misha Sawdagar – are also acting in U-Turn in two important roles, Alvi Ahmed said.
