Ashna Habib Bhabna is a versatile actress of present generation in the small screen. She has already proved her acting skill in her acted many dramas and movies. From that point of view, newcomer filmmaker Shuddhoman Chaitan has worked with Bhabna in his directed debut movie Dampara. The actress played
an important role in the movie, Mahmuda Haque Chowdhury, wife of wife of SP Shamsul Islam. Shooting of the movie was wrapped up recently in Chattogram after completing shooting of a song. Anan Zaman wrote story, dialogue and script of the movie. Popular film actor Ferdous Ahmed played the role of SP Shamsul Islam in this movie. The movie is expected to release within this year, said director of Shuddhoman Chaitan.
While talking about acting in this movie, actress Bhabna said, “At first, I can say that I always like to work with senior actors because I can learn many things from them during and after shooting. As a co-artiste, Ferdous Bhai is very much polite and can be said down to earth artiste. He is very much cooperative co-artiste which I realised after working in Dampara. As a newcomer director, Chaitan has full excitement about making this movie and he has given a lot of efforts during giving direction. He gave 100 per cent effort to make the movie successfully. Screenwriter Anan Zaman has written a nice story and script for the movie. After reading script, I showed my keen interest to work in this movie. Respected Mahmuda Aunty is alive, so it was really a challenging matter for me to portray a living legend character like her in this movie after getting information regarding her character and activities.”
Ferdous Ahmed shared his feelings by this way, “During the Liberation War, SP Shamsul Islam was in-charge of arms ammunition godown of Metropolitan Police Lines Dampara in Chattogram. Pakistani army wanted key of the arms ammunition godown from him. But SP Shamsul Islam played a game with the Pakistani army and distributed all arms ammunition elsewhere in the country. For this reason, after starting Liberation War, Pakistani army brutally killed him after tortured. I really feel proud to play such a role in the movie. Bhabna played outstandingly in role of my wife in the movie. In fact, Bhabna is a very much dedicated actress.”
Ferdous informed that he is now busy with shooting of Delwar Jahan Jhontu’s movie Sujon Majhi.
Earlier, Bhabna acted movies Bhoyonkor Sundor, directed by Animesh Aich, and Lal Moroger Jhuti, directed by Nurul Alam Atique, were released.
