Shono Prithibi Shono for Int’l Women’s Day : Tomorrow is the International Women’s Day. To pay tribute to all women of the world, a classical combination including music, poems and dance performances by 11 artistes has been made under the title Shono Prithibi Shono. Farida Parvin, Abida Sultana, Moutushi Partha, Homayra Bashir, Anima Roy, Priyanka Gope, Sukonnya Majumder and Nowrin lent their vocals for the song, while Rupa Chakraborty and Adhora Jahan recited poems and Munmun Ahmed performed dance. Under the lyrics written by Adhora Jahan, Homayra Bashir has composed tune. Raja Bashir has made its music video besides arranged music. This will be officially launched on YouTube channel of Sargam Sound Station on March 8. The programme is scheduled to be held at Floor No 8 of BFDC at 3:00pm tomorrow. Noted music personality Azad Rahman, Sheikh Sadi Khan, noted lyricist Mohammad Rafiq-uz-Zaman and Shahidullah Farayezi will be present as invited guests in the programme. Homayra Bashir said, “This song has become a bridge between old and new singers. There is participation of artistes of different sectors of the country in this song which has been dedicated to my parents. I am grateful to my younger brother Raja Bashir in this regard because he gave a lot of efforts including composition of music and making music video. I am grateful to all the artistes.” Adhora Jahan said, “Basically very few people get the opportunity to be part of this type of work. I am lucky in this regard. I give thanks to all.”
