Today is birthday of country’s one of the popular actresses Shomi Kaiser.
She is one of the brightest names in the field of acting in TV plays arena. Many actors came into this field after being inspired by her though Shomi is not regular in acting now.
In last Eid-ul-Azha, Shomi acted and Chayanika Chowdhury directed play Kalo Chithi was telecasted on ATN Bangla. Under same director’s direction, she also acted in Shesher Porey and Anumoti Prarthona. For the last three years, Shomi was seen to act in three plays where Mahfuz Ahmed was her co-actor in these plays.
While asking her how she will pass the day today Shomi replied, “In the morning, I have a meeting at FBCCI today. Therefore, I have also meeting at own office, Dhanshiri. At night, I may pass time with family. Otherwise I will have to go to Kolkata tonight. Everybody pray for me as I can remain well.”
She also mentioned that it is wrong information that she acted in Shahidul Haque Khan’s movie Juddho Shishu. “Director of the movie requested me to act but due to my busy schedule it will not be possible for me to work,” Shomi said.
Shomi last acted in Abul Hayat directed a serial titled Akasher Oparey Akash. It was aired in 2015.
Atiqul Haque Chowdhury directed play Ke Ba Apon Ke Ba Por Shomi started her acting career.
Later she acted in three episodes serial Joto Durey Jai. Abdullah Al Mamun made this serial. She also acted in two movies.
