Nasima Aktar Shoma, Joint News Editor of The Daily Observer and Abul Kalam Azad of Ajker Patrika have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of Dhaka Sub-Editors’ Council (DSEC).
The election of DSEC-2014 was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Monday. The other office-executives are: Vice-President-K M Shahidul Haque of BSS, Treasurer-AKM Obaidur Rahman of Janokantha, Joint Secy-Muktadir Anik of Baishaki TV, Organising Secy-Zakir Hossain Emon of Shamakal, Publicity and Publications Affairs Secy-Arifa Sultana of Shakaler Khabor, Sports and Cultural Affairs Secy-Abul Kalam of Nayadiganta, Office Secy-Abu Kawsar Khokon and Training and Research Secy-Alok Biswas.
The executive members are: Anjuman Ara Shilpi, Arif Abedin Jisan, Alam Hossain, Idris Madraji, Jawhaar Iqbal Khan, Dilruba Khan, Dipak Bhoumik, Nasir Uddin Bulbul, Momena Aktar Popy , Labin Rahman and Shiddhartha Sankar Dhar.
