A court here on Tuesday sent Zahidul Haq Tanim, one of the suspected criminals who attacked police near Sholakia Eidgah, to jail.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Abdus Salam Khan passed the order after police produced him before the courton completion of his 10-day remand, said officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Model Police Station Mir Mosharraf Hossain.
The OC said they were scrutinising the information gleaned from Zahidul during the remand period.
He, however, declined to elaborate what kind of information they received from Zahid during interrogation.
On July 10, a Kishoreganj court placed Zahidul on a 10-day remand.
Earlier on July 7, the eid day, at least four people, including two policemen, were killed and 12 others injured in a bomb attack coupled with an exchange of gunfire after terrorists attacked at a temporary police check post near Sholakia Eidgah in Sadar upazila of Kishoreganj.
