On continuance of their winning note in T20 internationals, Pakistan registered yet another series win, this time against New Zealand, with one more match in hand.
Pakistan, off their success spree in the shortest format, has been exhibiting total team games of late. Besides superb bowling and batting, the fielding is also up to the mark.
Experienced campaigner Shoaib Malik is on the lead of the fielding bonanza for his side. He has recorded taking most number of catches in this format beside his name now, surpassing Ross Taylor, AB de Villiers and Suresh Raina.
Shoaib Malik, the 37 year old veteran, currently leads the way in the T20Is with 47 catches in 107 matches and he surpassed De Villiers and Taylor.
While De Villiers and Taylor are the next on the list with 44 catches in 78 and 83 matches respectively, Suresh Raina, one of India’s best fielders, is placed fourth with 42 catches.
Malik scored 2171 runs in the shortest format of cricket while his tally of runs in the limited over cricket is 7226. He has 9 ODI tons and 43 half centuries beside his name. The prolific all-rounder also gathered 156 wickets in one day international.
Malik also played 35 Test matches for Pakistan and scored 1898 runs including 3 centuries and 8 fifties.
