Shishu Palli Plus defeated Begum Anowara Sporting Club (SC) by 89 runs in the day’s lone match of the Dhaka First Division Women’s Cricket League at the Kalabagan Krira Chakra Ground on Thursday.
Batting first Shishu Palli Plus piled up a healthy total of 223 for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 40 overs and then shot out Begum Anowara Sporting Club for 134 off 20 overs.
Apu Halder of Shishu Palli Plus remained unbeaten with 57and her teammate Sabina Yeasmin scored 32.
Shiuli Akter and Putul Biswas of Begum Anowara Sporting Club bagged a pair of wickets each for 27 and 34 runs respectively.
Khadiza Akter of Begum Anowara Sporting Club top-scored for her team with 44.
Jannatul Ferdous of Shishu Palli Plus was the day’s most successful bowler with three wickets at the cost of 37 runs. Besides, Bithi Akter got two wickets instead of 19 runs and her teammates Monika Akter and Apu Halder took one wicket apiece.
Apu Halder of Shishu Palli Plus was adjudged the Player of the Match.
