Hailed from Munshiganj noted actress Shirin Bokul debuted her acting career by theatre troupe, Natyadal (Topkhana) under the direction of Tariq Anam Khan by play Palabodol in 1986.
Later under the banner of same theatre group she performed in several other plays like Juddho Ebong Juddho, Tomrai, Bish Rokhkhar Chhuri, etc.
She dominated with this troupe in the theatre arena for 10 years. Later she engaged herself with another theatre group, Nagorik Natya Sampraday.
Before starting acting TV play Shirin Bokul came into limelight to act in several drama serials during that time. Of those serials, Sheikh Riazuddin Badshah’s produced Anwara (Shirin Bokul’s acted first TV serial) and Gronthikgon Kohey, late Abdullah Al Mamun’s Shongsaptak, Alauddin Ahmed’s Baro Rokom Manushera were mentionable.
Besides acting in TV plays, Shirin Bokul is also engaged with acting in movies now. In last Eid, her acted and Shahin Sumon directed movie Love Marriage was released.
She acted superbly in role of hero Shakib Khan’s mother in the movie.
In big screen, Shirin Bokul debuted her career by Zainal Abedin’s directed movie Shotru Shotru Khela.
Later she acted in late Chashi Nazrul Islam’s Colour Devdas, Debashish Biswas’ Bhalobasha Jindabad, among other movies. Her acted and Safi Uddin Safi directed movie Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini-2 and Royel Khan’s Ei Golpey Bhalobasha Nei are waiting to release now.
